Happy Green Lantern Day!

On this day in 2005, I started a blog on an improvisors' message board called Battery of OA. I had a Green Lantern avatar and matching handle, so it made sense to me that I would title my blog with the same theming. The blog rarely had anything to do with Green Lantern. I was mostly brain vomiting my random frustrations of any given day.

After updating it almost daily for a solid year, I dubbed June 26th GREEN LANTERN DAY and kept with it for almost a decade. When the Supreme Court, in a rare moment of wisdom, chose to recognize Marriage Equality on June 26, 2015, I began recognizing the date as Brightest Day, or Marriage Equality Day.

It's apt that my latest book draws heavy inspiration from Green Lantern.
